Massachusetts is excited to be one of the first states in the U.S. to offer Legion Fastpitch Softball, complete with a postseason opportunity. Leicester Girls Softball & Cherry Valley Post 443 American Legion Family are extremely proud to announce we are partnering in sponsoring and starting a local Legion Softball Team!

Legion Softball will uphold the same crucial values that are a part of existing American Legion youth programs. Legion sportsmanship, character and values follow players long after the game is complete. Ties to community and veterans in the community is an important aspect not offered by other leagues.

Legion athletics offers players a chance to showcase their abilities and the opportunity for quality competition in a structured format, creating equal and equitable opportunities for girls in the Town of Leicester, MA.

ELIGIBILITY

AGE ELIGIBILITY 8th Grade - 12th Grade

PLAYERS GRADUATING IN 2023-2027 ARE ELIGIBLE FOR PLAY IN THE 2023 LEGION SOFTBALL SEASON.

Tryouts for Cherry Valley Post 443 Lady Legion Team is Open to all Players in Worcester County with a focus on towns in and around Leicester, MA.

Travel club ball players are eligible to try out accepting they will need to make a commitment to the team and attend Legion Activities if they are offered a roster spot.

Continuing the Cherry Valley Legion Baseball Teams tradition, the Cherry Valley Legion Post 443 & Leicester Girls softball are proud to offer this at no cost to the player.

What does the season schedule look like? (A lot of Softball in a short amount of time)

Regular Season (start after High School play is done, end of June) 10 Games to be Played along with practices.

Regional Tournament July 21-23, 2023 (Dates May Change) by a week out

State Tournament July 28-30, 2023 (Dates May Change) by a week out
